Ron Maynor was born January 2, 1951, the third child of a Lumbee Indian family in Pembroke, North Carolina.  His father was farmer and also had a welding shop.  Mom stayed home to raise their, eventually, four children.  They were happy and hard-working Christians who loved God and served faithfully, he as a church deacon and she as a leader in the Women’s Missionary Union.  When Ron was five, his parents moved the family to Detroit, Michigan to seek better educational opportunities for their children.

Ron earned a B.A. in Business Administration and his Masters of Divinity from Faith Seminary in Tacoma, Washington.  He has pastored ten years as an ordained Southern Baptist minister most of them bi-vocational.  He and his wife since 1974, Reenie, are now retired and work out of their motorcoach traveling around the country.  They have been blessed with three children and eight grandchildren who are the joy of their lives.
